lauren plotkin, lmft

Lauren Plotkin, LMFT, provides virtual therapy to clients across California and brings years of experience supporting teens, adults, and families through a variety of life experiences and transitions. Her work centers on building strong therapeutic relationships rooted in collaboration, authenticity, vulnerability, and attunement. She believes in building upon each person’s inherent strengths while creating space to better understand themselves, navigate challenges, and find a greater sense of home within themselves. She brings a grounded presence to sessions and isn’t afraid to incorporate humor along the way.

Lauren’s approach is integrative and relational, drawing from CBT, psychodynamic, somatic, and IFS-informed modalities. Her clinical experience spans a variety of settings, including community-based mental health supporting women during the perinatal period, outpatient treatment specializing in OCD and anxiety, and higher levels of care (RTC, PHP, and IOP) for eating disorders. She currently holds the role of clinical program director for an eating disorder adolescent and adult PHP/IOP program.

At the heart of Lauren’s work is a genuine appreciation for the uniqueness of each person she works with. She feels honored to walk alongside her clients as they navigate the complexities of life, deepen their understanding of themselves, and create meaningful change in ways that feel authentic to who they are.
